NHS Highland Chronic Pain Management Service is highlighting a range of resources available to help individuals manage persistent pain and improve their overall wellbeing.
NHS Highland offers guidance on how people can support themselves in managing chronic pain, with practical advice and tools available online; https://www.nhshighland.scot.nhs.uk/your-services/all-services-a-z/chronic-pain-management/how-you-can-help-yourself-with-your-pain/
These resources are designed to empower individuals to take an active role in their pain management journey.
In addition to NHS support, there are several excellent third sector organisations offering help across Highland. MySelf-Management is a Highland-based charity that supports people living with long-term conditions, including persistent pain.
Members can take part in face-to-face groups, online courses, and peer support activities such as Boccia (indoor seated bowling), garden visits, craft groups, quizzes, seated movement, breathing and meditation, Tai Chi, and more.
